The desire for free communication is a driving force for systemli.org. Free communication is important for our social networks and our political activities. Unfortunately, all too rarely we get the chance to communicate with you directly and even more rarely you get the chance to speak to us. To enhance the dialogue between us, we would like to share the things we have worked on over the past few years and let you know about the latest news.
On 05.09.2014 there will be benifitparty for systemli.org in the ://about:blank in Berlin. All profit that is made will be donated to systemli.org. The party/concert will start at 6pm. There will be sounds from Frittenbude, Nervöus, Image Ctrl, Das Flug and many more …
Our Etherpad-service has a new look. This is supposed to encourage you to avoid names that are easy to guess for confidential Pads.
From now on we offer mail.systemli.org and jabber.systemli.org as Tor Hidden Service.
This enables our users to set up a hidden connection to our services that is channeled through the Tor network.
With an email-account at systemli.org you have the possibility to monitor if anyone is passing on your user data to third parties.
On 18.06.14 from 20:30 onwards our mail-server and website will not be available for approximately 3 hours. This is due to multiple necessary works on our hardware. The jabber server won’t be affected.
Since restructuring in January, it is not possible anymore to transfer data with our Jabber-Server. Although we pointed out that this kind of transfer is not encrypted, there repeatedly have been misunderstandings.
End of last year it became known that there had been a successful attack against the hard drive-encryption of many Linux systems. The widely used Linux-distribution Ubuntu was affected as well. A few days ago Ubuntu 14.04 LTS has been released which is immune against these attacks and will be maintained for 5 years.
